The weldable ePTFE drum bung vent for 55-gallon steel and plastic drum pressure relief is a heavy-duty pressure management component engineered for the global drum packaging industry. This vent integrates a rugged, chemically resistant ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane into a robust weldable thermoplastic carrier, designed to be welded into the 2-inch or 3/4-inch bung closure of standard 55-gallon (200L) steel, HDPE, or composite drums. It provides continuous, maintenance-free pressure equalization during the entire drum lifecycle: filling, transport, storage, and dispensing. During hot filling, it allows expanding air to escape. During cooling, it allows filtered air to enter, preventing vacuum collapse. During transport across altitude and temperature extremes, it prevents dangerous pressure buildup that can bulge drum heads, blow out seals, or cause violent gushing when the bung is opened.
