This liner is engineered to withstand continuous exposure to aggressive oxygen-releasing compounds—such as sodium percarbonate and sodium carbonate peroxide—while actively venting the oxygen gas these products generate. It keeps containers pressure-neutral, preventing the bulging, distortion, and cap blow-off failures that plague unvented oxygen bleach booster packaging. The PE foam's closed-cell structure resists chemical attack and maintains its compressive seal throughout the product's shelf life, ensuring that laundry boosters and whiteners reach the consumer with full potency and in safe, intact packaging.
Oxygen-based laundry boosters and whiteners are concentrated, high-activity powder or tablet products that release significant volumes of oxygen gas during storage. Unlike liquid bleaches, these dry products are often packaged in wide-mouth jars or large canisters. As the product slowly reacts with ambient moisture trapped in the container headspace, it generates oxygen. In an unvented container, this pressure accumulates, causing the container walls to bulge, the lid to dome upward, and—in severe cases—the lid to pop off during transport or on the retail shelf.
