The EVA foam's closed-cell structure ensures no liquid absorption or degradation, maintaining sealing integrity even after prolonged contact with hydrochloric acid, sulfamic acid, or bleach-based toilet cleaners.

Cause

Toilet bowl cleaners and acid descalers are among the most chemically aggressive household products. Many formulations contain 5-10% hydrochloric acid, sulfamic acid, or sodium hypochlorite. How It Works

The EVA foam liner is induction-sealed onto the bottle neck. The chemically resistant EVA foam faces the product, protecting the upper layers from direct contact with corrosive liquid. As the acidic or bleach-based formula generates gas, the internal pressure gently pushes the gas through the ePTFE membrane window. The membrane’s billions of microscopic pores are large enough for gas molecules like chlorine or carbon dioxide to pass but far too small for liquid molecules to penetrate. The vented gas escapes into the cap headspace and dissipates through the cap threads. External air can also enter to prevent vacuum when the bottle cools.
