This EPTFE acoustic vent protection film is engineered for motorcycle helmet Bluetooth intercom microphones, providing a critical barrier against wind, rain, road spray, sweat, and breath condensation. It allows clear voice communication for rider-to-rider intercom, navigation, and music control even at highway speeds and in inclement weather. The flexible, ultra-thin EPTFE film can be applied directly to the microphone boom or chin bar mounted mic, conforming to the curved surfaces without adding bulk or discomfort. It remains acoustically transparent across the 300 Hz to 3.4 kHz voice band used by intercom systems, ensuring that outgoing voice is crisp and intelligible. The material is resistant to mild detergents and cleaning solutions used on helmet interiors, and its biocompatible, skin-safe backing ensures it can be positioned near the rider’s face without irritation.
