Product Overview

This IP68-rated EPTFE speaker acoustic vent mesh is tailor-made for mobile phone loudspeaker modules, including earpiece speakers and bottom-firing multimedia speakers. Unlike microphone vents that must preserve extremely weak signals, a speaker vent must handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) and significant airflow displacement while maintaining a waterproof barrier. The mesh combines a high-porosity EPTFE membrane with a durable polyester non-woven backing, creating a composite that withstands the mechanical fatigue of millions of excursion cycles. Its acoustic design ensures that bass, midrange, and treble frequencies pass through with minimal loss, preserving the speaker’s intended frequency response. Because loudspeaker ports are relatively large openings, the vent must also resist punctures from external objects and withstand the rigors of daily use. The product is supplied as die-cut pieces with a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive, ready for integration into speaker boxes during assembly.
